VISION
The Cochrane Youth Association is committed to taking a leadership role
in meeting the dynamic needs of the youth and families in our community
in an effort to enhance the well being of all in Cochrane and area.
MISSION
To provide the youth and families of Cochrane and area with safe,
accessible, inclusive, collaborative and engaging services to help
develop responsible, resilient and confident citizens and leaders now
and for the future. We will actualize our mission through programming
that is:
v Preventative
v Educational
v Recreational
v Cultural
v Social
v Meeting Community Child Care Needs
Our programs and services reach approximately 300 young people every
year and include Boys and Girls Club based recreational, personal and
social development programming for males and females of all ages. We
also provide Boys and Girls Club based before and after school care for
6-12 year olds, Play Days family day homes for 0-6 year olds, summer
camps, the Cochrane Youth Council, made up of high school youth, and
community awareness and prevention of violence initiatives, such as
domestic violence awareness campaigns and prevention of bullying
workshops. We also support the Cochrane and Area Youth Expo, a
celebration of community youth.
